Who these terms are with
Showhands is provided by the independent developer behind this site ("we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@showhands.app. By creating a workspace or running a session you agree to these terms. If you only join a session as a participant, the short version is in the privacy page.
What Showhands is
Showhands is a web service for running live polls and quizzes. A host builds questions, shares a code, and participants answer from a browser.
Your account
- Give us a real email address and keep your password and any authenticator codes safe.
- You are responsible for what happens in your workspace, including what people you invite do.
- Tell us quickly if you think someone else has got into your account.
How you may use it
Do not use Showhands to break the law, to harass or deceive people, to collect sensitive personal data from participants, to attack or overload the service, or to resell it as your own. We can suspend a workspace that does this.
Your content
Your questions, answers and results stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service for you. You promise you have the right to use the material you upload.
The beta
While Showhands is in beta it is free and may change, be interrupted, or lose features. We will email you before paid plans begin and you will not be charged unless you say yes.
Paid plans
Paid plans are not on sale yet. When they start, the price, billing period, taxes and refund rules will be shown on the pricing page before you pay, and nothing is charged without your agreement.
Availability and our liability
We work to keep Showhands running but we do not promise it will always be available or error free. Do not depend on it alone for anything where a failure would cause serious harm. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before it, and we are not liable for indirect or lost-profit losses. Nothing here limits rights you have by law.
Ending things
You can stop using Showhands and ask us to delete your workspace at any time. We may end or suspend access if you break these terms or if the service is withdrawn, with notice where we can give it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts of India, unless the law gives you the right to go elsewhere.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email workspace owners before it takes effect.
